Infosys provides Suffolk County a new information system for CSHCN
Plainview, NY - September 2003
Suffolk County Department of Health Services has been running the "Children With Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN)" program in order to monitor and help children with dental and medical needs. This is a program that provides screening, treatment assistance and financial assistance services for children from birth to 21 years of age.
The application software that had been utilized by CSHCN had become to a stage where it could no longer meet the increasing and changing needs of the program. Infosys helped CSHCN to implement a new system that will enhance the quality of services and productivity of the program.
Infosys International Inc worked with the County in order to address the new and changing needs of the progam and redesigned their system. A new application has been developed that will improve data accuracy, and eliminate manual processes that were still in place. The new system was created using Microsoft's .Net technology and Oracle as the database management system, which are currently adopted as standard tools and technologies for all software systems used in the County.
